The name “Reiki” (pronounced Ray-key) comes from the Japanese words “rei” meaning spirit and “ki” meaning energy. It is usually translated as “Universal Life Force Energy.”
Reiki is a powerful, yet gentle healing energy that works to alleviate the cause of disease and not just treat the symptoms. It restores balance and harmony to a person or animal’s entire being… physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Reiki is a graceful, loving art that embraces spirituality, intuition and Universal Life Force Energy – that which gives life to all living things. Reiki energy can either be channeled in-person through your hands or by distance, using the Distance Symbol that is taught in Level II Reiki.
